I'm attempting to follow the instructions in the documentation on improving image quality, but I'm getting the following error:
$ tesseract bc4.jpg out4 debug.config Tesseract Open Source OCR Engine v3.02.02 with Leptonica Error in pixWriteStreamTiff: function not present Error in pixWrite: pix not written to stream I've installed Tesseract 3.0.1 via Homebrew on Mac OS X 10.8.5 I've searched for some of the key words in the error message, but all I've come up with are references to the Leptonica source, which hasn't been helpful.
