I wish to use tesseract for preferably pictures clicked from my mobile phone(otherwise I could use a scanner in the worst case). Now , as far as I have tried tesseract, I have observed that it does not work at all for pictures taken from my mobile phone. Even in the scanned images, the accuracy seems to be very low. I have the following questions:
1. Would training tesseract in a handwriting close to the target images(the images for which the handwriting recognition is to be applied) be of a significant help? 2. Is it possible to fetch an image from a phone good enough to get a decent accuracy(~80-90%) ?? I know the questions might appear to be vague.. but this was the best way I could put myself in.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Pratik -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "tesseract-ocr" group.
