As an aside, I was unable to get auto-login to work at all this time.
Again I used the method of adding the parameters to the
/etc/gdm/custom.conf file
[daemon]
AutomaticLoginEnable=True
AutomaticLogin=username
I used this method because Setting is again where it will not start
again after the first time clicking the Details header. So for this,
bug #1667733 still applies. I would also appreciate feedback on if
this is a blocker since it disables one of Gnome's important
interfaces.
