In fedora 42 wine seems OK. At present with fedora 43 wine cannot be fully upgraded since there are conflicts between the i686 and x86_64 versions of wine-core which also prevents upgrade of wine-filesystem.
I upgraded to f43 after it was branched and before the conflict appeared, but at present the only way I can do any routine upgrades is to include the options `--exclude wine-core --exclude wine-filesystem` in the dnf upgrade command. The bug report https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2401666 applies. Joachim Your second error seems to be that you removed wine core and not everything that depends on it so the long list of errors was the result. Try first reinstalling wine-core in fedora 42 then try `dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=43 --exclude wine-core --exclude wine-filesystem --allowerasing`.
