Minutes from the Testing SWG Meeting held Thursday, March 28, 2002.

First, Sue Ryder reviewed the events of the previous call to ensure that we
were all updated with where our issues stood at the end of the previous
meeting.

Web Site Link to Files - We established that the link has been created on
the SNIP web page to the free test files created by the Testing SWG on the
Claredi web site. To follow the link, go to SNIP.WEDI.ORG. Then click on
the OTHER HIPAA RESOURCES tab. From there, click on the TRANSACTION CODE
SETS AND STANDARDS tab. From there, click on the WEDI SNIP EDI TEST FILES
tab to be directly connected to the SNIP data files on the Claredi site.

Technical and Business Scenarios Update - There was little to report as far
as progress on the technical scenarios. John and Sue are trying to
coordinate completing them but not much progress has been made in the last
few weeks. Both will send their files to Kepa once the data is completely
gathered.

Submission of New Test Data - A discussion was held amongst the group as to
how to proceed on gathering test data on the other transactions. Sue and
John have to review the sample spreadsheet that Cynthia Korman sent. It
was suggested that we begin to solicit test data from industry entities.
In order to do this, the group agreed that we would need to know several
pieces of information including what scenarios were tested with the
asssociated data and who the submitter of the information was in case we
needed to go back to them with questions. It was agreed to by the group
that a web form would be developed to be completed by the submitter that
would be kept confidential. The person responsible for validating the data
received would only contact the submitter if there were issues with the
data. Once the data was approved and posted to the website, the
submitter's identify would not be available to the person who was
downloading it. John and Sue will take this forward to the co-chairs for
approval.

White Papers - John Lilleston will follow up with Mark McLaughlin to
inquire as to if we have received approval from the Steering Group to
update the appendix to the white paper without going through the entire
approval process.

Process Reminder - John reminded the entire group, per the last co-chair
meeting, that it is very important that we all follow the processes and
procedures put in place by the SNIP group. We reviewed the white paper and
issues database processes and pointed out the benefits of following the
processes.

Issues Database - The Testing SWG still has two issues to update on the
internet. Sue will forward the replies previously agreed upon by the group
to John and he will put them on the internet.

Press Release - It was suggested at the SNIP Forum in Baltimore that we
issue a press release announcing the test files we have built and where
they are housed. John will take this forward to the co-chairs.

Miscellaneous -

Cynthia Korman would like to speak to any vendors who work directly with
providers. If you are a clearinghouse, billing service, health care
information systems vendor, etc. please email Cynthia at
