Hello everyone,
Our next Testing SWG Meeting will be held on 5/23 at 11 and we have a very full agenda. Please review the information below and try to come to the call prepared with you comments. Since we have two very large topics to discuss, we are going to place time limits for each subject. The call will start promptly at 11 eastern time so that we can allow sufficient time for
each subject. Thanks in advance for being punctual! :)
Agenda:
1) Gathering Test Data (30 minutes) - Sue and I had a long discussion today about the best way to approach this subject. As we all know, this has been one of our biggest challenges. Sue had a discussion with Kristin Becker and we have concerns as to WEDI's ability to give us the server space we will need for these. As a result, we need to discuss the ideas that Sue and I came up with. We thought it would be most beneficial to only collect HIPAA-compliant files. It is fairly simple to create negative test conditions from a compliant file. As far as housing the files go, we came up with the idea to either have people load their files onto their own web sites and we would link to the sites from the SNIP site or to ask for corporate sponsors from within the Testing SWG to volunteer to house the files. If you have any other ideas, please bring them up in the meeting.
2) Testing White Paper (30 minutes) - As you all know, Kepa has updated the Testing White Paper with a lot of information concerning Type 7 testing and certification. We need to review the paper and approve it as a group and move forward. However, I do not think we will get through the entire paper in 30 minutes so this will likely be continued into the next meeting. I will ask Kristin to post a link to the paper.
3) Sanjeev Kulkarni (5-10 minutes) - Sanjeev has an alternative testing approach he would like to introduce to us. We will give him a few minutes on the agenda to introduce the idea and we can add it to the next meeting for further discussion.
Also...FYI...I am updating the appendix to the Testing White Paper as it was prior to Kepa's changes with new vendor information and will be submitting it to the Transaction Co-Chairs for approval.
