This again is another sync point on the way to the next stable release. If
you have time to build it, let me know if it works for you (mentioning
the compiler / platform). If it fails, please send a bug report.

src tarball:
        * mandir according to GNU coding standards
        * merge web2c-7.3.10
        * update xdvik (to version 22.40q)
        * update pdftex from TeX Live
        * add support for freetype lib and mminstance
        * update pdftex / omega from TeX Live
        * minor config stuff cleanup
        * update texinfo.tex
        * updamp writes output entries in normalized format and supports
        dvipdfm (dvipdfm support should not yet be used)
        * remove that parse_first_line.mpost line (it does not help)
        * update ncurses (now 5.3)

texmf tarball:
        * update hyperref
        * update eso-pic (2002/10/30)
        * update omega.sty (from TeX Live)
        * update texinfo.tex
        * change updmap.cfg and add dvipdfm35.map to support dvipdfm
        via updmap  (dvipdfm support should not yet be used)
