I'd like to suggest that teTeX include the lipsum package. I find it useful for making sample documents, for beginners.
I often want to generate a several-page sample document for a beginner. Rather than typing "ajfdl adf adfj asdkj a", or some macro that interates text like that, I'd like to say "\lipsum[1-6]". But I can't depend on a beginner having lipsum, and installing is an unsolved problem (for beginners). It is small and would easily go in tex/latex/misc, so it wouldn't clutter up too much. I understand that it is not an especially widely-used package, but if it wasn't that the target is people who are starting out, I wouldn't make the suggestion. Tnx, Jim Hefferon
