The beauty of teTeX as it comes (and not as it comes via a Linux distribution) is that it is all in the one directory i.e. cd to the directory in which you unpacked teTeX and do: rm -rf teTeX ... but why? If you had problems installing it perhaps you should address those problems to the list.
