and in addition hope that thsi si still valid after an updat eof the patterns (which may introduce new conflicting commands, or have assumptions of a changed name without notifying those responsible for embedding them ...) .. all this (and worse, like "quit loading if this is not latex" features) has happened and that's what this project wants to avoid
