They are loaded until you remove the files. SO we should *NOT* remove them. No, now that platex uses language.dat Greek patterns are not unconditionally loaded any more. They are only loaded if hyphen-greek (ancientgreek) is installed. And when hyphen-greek is installed, the other patterns are present. Mojca
