Dear friends, apparently the file hyph-la-x-classic.tex file exists but some engines do not foind it.

For example: when building the pdflatex.fmt file pdftex finds it and the pdflatex.log file reports:

EC Classic Latin hyphenation patterns
(/usr/local/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/tex/generic/hyph-utf8/conversions/conv-utf8
-ec.tex)
(/usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/tex/generic/hyph-utf8/patterns/tex/hyph-la-x-cl
assic.tex))

On the opposite when doing the correspondign operation with uptex, the corresponding uplatex.log file reports:

EC Classic Latin hyphenation patterns
! I can't find file `hyph-la-x-classic.ec.tex'.
l.29         \input hyph-la-x-classic.ec.tex

(Press Enter to retry, or Control-D to exit)
Please type another input file name:
! Emergency stop.
l.29         \input hyph-la-x-classic.ec.tex

End of file on the terminal!

and the creation of the format fails.

I have no idea where the glitch is, but this is what happens.

All the best
Claudio
