Congratulations - you've found the first bug in musixlyr 2.0! Actually, it's no 
inherent bug of it but a name conflict with 
MusiXTeX's 
\uptrio command (both use the command sequence \@text for their respective purposes) 
that occurs in the example 
you've 
sent me privately. The \lyr you've mentioned above in fact has nothing to to with 
this; it is just the first invocation of lyrics 
processing after the original \uptrio call.

I'll release a bug-fixed musixlyr version soon; in the meantime, please use the 
attached file to patch musixlyr 2.0. (I have 
little experience with "diff" and "patch"; if there's a problem, please let me know.)
