I want to give some comments on the thread I started: Indeed the solution using setsign satisfies all my needs. It really was a score for contemporary brass band ( Trumpets in Bb, Trombones in C, Alto Sax in Eb) as mentioned. I know a lot of scores that are written totally in C, but I also know a lot of them every instrument written as the player gets it. I don't want to referee about what's the better solution. For me typesetting the score was the question and it worked. Though I didn't have the possibility to check the result using the midi-output. So there really where two mistakes in my score :-( that were not "wrong typings" but "wrong thinkings", because the composer in this case has to do all the transposing. So probably it could be possible to give PMX the sounding of every instrument and one can type the total score in C but gets a score with all lines adjusted to the respective instrument.
