This is exactly right. As I wrote when announcing 2.35

I guess Luigi had a little heartburn, exactly the kind I thought would
happen.  Yes, to reprocess with 2.35 you may need to edit older files if
they have in-line TeX slurs.  I changed the numbering this way because in
Stanislaus Kneifl wrote that in his postscript slur package, slurs numbered
higher than 9 cannot go across a page break. Before I made this change, PMX
started with 11, then 10.
