Dear PMX'ers-- The latest new version is available at http://icking-music-archive.sunsite.dk/software/pmx/pmx2352.zip
*********** PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A NEW pmx.tex *********** Some of the changes may either cause or remove incompatibilities with earlier versions. I just got another problem report regarding \parskip so I removed the re-definition from pmx.tex that I had inserted somewhere between 2.2 and 2.3, and it is now only written when "Ae" (equal line spacing) is invoked. The postscript slur stuff is very tentative since Stanislav Kneifl has not yet completely finished with all the options. This part is especially ripe for further changes. Please send your suggestions In the process of modifying \titles to allow multi-line entries, I used Dirk's suggestion, and redefined \centerline, \leftline, and \rightline within pmx.tex. Because there are more than the usual possible compatibility issues, I would very much appreciate users processing as many of their old sources as they can manage, and reporting any problems to me. Here is a list of the new features: "Ap" activates postscript slurs by inserting "\input musixps" into TeX file. Please note that you must have downloaded and deployed Stanislav Kneifl's musixps.tex for this to work. If you have modified the curvature (using a third number, after positional tweaks) PMX will approximately translate this into "f","h","H", or "HH". For new scores you may use these letters directly in PMX as options in the slur termination command. Redefine \titles in pmx.tex, to allow multiline instrument, composer, or title. Data entry for each item must still be on one line, but "\\" will cause a line break in the printed score. Removed redefinition of \parskip from pmx.tex. Now PMX will insert the redefinition into [jobname].tex only if "Ae" has been invoked. PMX numbers slurs from 0 up instead of 11 down, anticipating postscript slurs. PMX writes "\eightrm" instead of "\cmr8" for \figfont with small staff size. Increase allowable length of jobname to 44 characters. Bugfix in midi output: Increase allowable number of notes in a chord to 20. Bugfix: Set default systems per page to 1 if nv>7. Bugfix related to scores with just one system per page. Happy holidays to everyone! --Don Simons _______________________________________________ TeX-music mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://sunsite.dk/mailman/listinfo/tex-music
