I don't have time right now to look at this, but I think it will be very
difficult to do if you are using Ae, for various TeXnical reasons. There is
a chance that you could use the macro \spread , defined in pmx.tex, but that
was intended to add extra space between systems, not after the last.

I haven't tried this but I doubt if it will work together with "Ae".
