I recently recorded my live music into WAV files, probably "raw" signal (huge). But my "Creative Wave Studio" can also store it with compression in format MPEG Layer 3 (I suppose this is MP3). My question is: is conversion to MPEG Layer 3 a compression without loss of information (such as ZIPPING files) or has it an information loss like with JPEG images? --
