My original reply to Bernhard was rejected by his server, so I'm forwarding
it to the list.

Bernhard's score generated a notes group longer than a breve, which caused
\pnotes{x} where x>10. The pre-2.408 format statement did not accommodate
that.

It's a little ironic that both of the bugs Bernhard encountered, while
independent of one another, were caused by the same kind of programming
glitch.

I thought I already fixewd this in pmx2408. My working version did not give
the error. Are you using 2.408?
