This happens to me if I use labels on all my music lines and don't have
any lyrics (L:) lines. If I put in a "L: ~" the file can be processed.
Since I only use M-Tx for vocal music it is only a temporary problem for
me before I enter the lyrics.

If it gives this same error even for example scores which should work,
then I have no idea what is wrong.
