I'm not at all surprised that PMX went psychotic when trying to digest this.
It's interesting and curious, but I'm not sure what to do about it. I
suppose I could put in a check that would prohibit you from starting a MIDI
macro when there is an open tie.

The way to get it right probably begins with making the music sensible. The
tie across the repeat doesn't make sense.
