OK, here are some answers to some of your questions:

In the other message, you talk about working on a PC. Which is it
now, PC or Mac ? The operating systems are vastly different, and
most advice is system-dependent. I what follows, I just assume
that you are talking about a PC, with some version of Windows
installed (with Linux, matters are different again).

What do you mean??? Are you talking about PMX or M-Tx ? May I
suggest that you read about all of this in Olivier Vogel's french
translation of the Cataldi PMX manual, which you will find at
http://icking-music-archive.org/software/pmx/lcgmpxfr.pdf
(you might also want to take a look at my new English-language
PMX manual:

(i) As stated in the above-mentioned manuals, the question of a
text editor is quite INDEPENDENT of MusiXTeX: the source
for the MusiXTeX and associated software is always STANDARD
ASCII text (we are in the TeX world, after all!). So your
statement "TeXnicCenter doesnt accept MusiXTeX" is a
misunderstanding. True, TeXnicCenter doesn't know about
MusiXTeX; why should it? It's a text editor! What MusiXTeX
does with your source file is a totally independent process
(more on this in my manual, Section "Running PMX").
You can use ANY old ASCII text editor (even Microsoft's
"Notepad") to write source code for MusiXTeX. Of course,
there are differences, but they are a matter of personal
taste. Besides TeXnicCenter, you might also consider the
"Crimson Editor":
http://www.crimsoneditor.com/english/home.html
(ii) Quite independent of this is the question of INSTALLATION
of the MusiXTeX software. Please refer to the links given
in the WIMA (Walter Icking Music Archive), also given in my
manual at the beginning of the Section "Installation", or
the instructions given in Olivier Vogel's Cataldi PMX manual.
If you need further help, ask again!
"Hope this hilft".
