I get regularily reports from Icking Archive web guests reporting that they've had problems when opening this or that pdf score with newer versions of Acrobat Reader, ie. version 5.x or 6.x. The problem almost always turns out to be with MusiXTeX typesettings, problems which may be resolved by simply reprocessing the typesetting sources in a TeX environment containing the most recent MusiXTeX type fonts.
During the last few days I've been reviewing my own MusiXTeX typeset scores among which more than half of them had this problem. Afther I had done the reprocessing my linux Acrobat Reader 5 no more complained on font drawing problems.
Based on that experience I encourage all of you who have contributed M-TX-, PMX- or MusiXTeX scores to the archive to perform a similar review of your scores found in the archive and upload new pdf files to replace those turning out to have the above described problem.
