I agree this would be more readable (but in the real world anyone would
prefer the 2 ledger lines on f44 in the bass clef, with no clef change at
all --- infinitely more readable!)

I reiterate my view,though, that in practice clef changes should be used
only where they are really convincingly better (i.e. more readable) than
the alternative of ledger lines (or separate staves)
