This is a fairly common problem. PMX does the page layout
according to an algorithm that is fairly difficult to predict
(and influence) by a human reader. There are 2 (partial)
remedies:
1) use the PMX commands Ai[n], AI[n] to juggle things along.
In a couple of days, I guess, there will be a
contribution by Andre Van Ryckeghem to the "PMX Tips &
Tricks" section of the WIMA on this

so look forward to this!
2) the general problem of how to fit text and
(PMX-generated) scores into one manuscript is best solved
(unless you love to write generic TeX) by using the
LaTeX package mtxlatex, developped recently by Dirk
Laurie and described in section C 4 of my PMX tutorial
( http://icking-music-archive.org/software/pmx/pmxccn.pdf )
and more fully in the M-Tx manual.
