Okay, I'm just trying to get things working on my Fedora Core 1 box,
and not having much luck. TeX works fine. LaTeX ditto. I installed
MusixTeX, and the musiclyr addon, and everything worked fine.

Then I got to PMX, and the trouble began.

I downloaded pmx250.zip and compiled the fortran executables, and got a
pmxab binary that dumps core. Well, specifically, if I build it with
g77 (3.3.2), then it runs on most.pmx and mwalmnd.pmx, but dumps core on
barsant.pmx.  If I build with f2c (20031025) + gcc (3.3.2),  then it
dumps core on all of them.  (After converting the line-endings, btw;
otherwise it exits with a parse error before getting far enough to
dumps core.)

I have MTX's prepmx installed and generating apparently unobjectionable
PMX, but again, pmxab dumps core on them (with either compilation
method, just like the barsant sample).

Any suggestions?

-Mark
