Is there a possiblity to have marginal notes (e.g. by using \marginpar) in the lyrics of songs. When I try \marginpar inside the \setlyrics macro then an error is returned.

Background: I want to output verse numbers as marginal notes (like it is often done in church song books). The text of the first verse is set by \setlyrics.
