It's magic! How does it work - does the strut act like an invisible tall
character? At any rate it works and does exactly what I want it to. Thank
you!

Actually, I did tinker around with numbers following "h", and noticed that a
negative number causes some space to open up between headline and header,
but I usually need that space for the notes. And the Pc"text" option isn't
suitable for my needs, because it only starts on the pages following the
first, and I'm concatenating short files.
