Dear fellow typesetters.

Some months ago I posted an introduction to Guido Gonzato's preprocessing software abcpp which is designed to be used with Abc music typesetting but also is useable with other music typesetting software like PMX and M-Tx.

Today I've published a vocal pavan by Orazio Vecchi,"Gitene Ninfe", for which I've been using abcpp as an M-Tx preprocessor. That method allows me to edit and maintain just a single apcpp "master source file" and out of that generate all the M-Tx source files I need for scores, separate parts and MIDI output. My goal has been to add advanced macro facilities to M-Tx typesetting like those coming with the MUP music typesetting software (see http://www.arkkra.com/).

I've added a short explanation of this typesetting method, http://icking-music-archive.org/scores/vecchi/SelvaDiRecreazione/readme.html to the Orazio Vecchi Web page, http://icking-music-archive.org/ByComposer/Vecchi.html.
