ASCII 194 is a graphic symbol in the extended ASCII code that PMX
doesn't understand, and it also isn't shown at all by some text
editors.
In all probability you never wrote that, but it
somehow crept into your source at the beginning or the end of a line,
e.g. while copying a line from some other place. It happens to me
sometimes as well, and its very annoying, as you never know where the
invisible character is, just BECAUSE its unvisible!
But usually retyping the incriminated line (and deleting the old one
completely AS A LINE, NOT character by character, of course!) helps.
