teTeX 3 follows the TeX Directory Structure more strictly than
previous versions. For example, Postscript header files now have to
be placed below $TEXMF/dvips/ or in certain directories below
$TEXMF/fonts/ (see the file pointed to by `kpsewhich texmf.cnf` for
exact details), whereas they in earlier versions also could be placed
below $TEXMF/tex/, for example.

So, just move the files to $LOCALTEXMF/dvips and run 'texhash'.

A few days ago I upgraded my linux work station from Redhat Fedora Core 2 to Core 4 - a generally pleasant experience.

Fedora Core 4 implies an upgrade of TeTeX from release 2.02 to release 3.04. I have carried on my musixtex stuff from Core 2 installed in the LOCALTEXMF tree (/usr/local/share/texmf). I have been able to successfully process a couple of musixtex files contributed to the Icking Archive. But for some reason I can't process files with postscript slurs involved. Dvips reports an error

dvips: ! Couldn't find header file psslurs.pro

psslurs.pro _is_ listed in $LOCALTEXM/ls-R

Any clue?
