IMHO adding up the year of Kuykens's warning would be much simpler than adding
longish apologies for quoting something "potentially obsolete".
Clues:
1: a Google Group search with "kuykens musixtex awesome" gives one result
in Polish from 1998.
2: Daniel's article in Cahiers GUTenberg no 21, June 1995, announces that
MusiXTeX has superseded MusicTeX.
But collectors of MusiXTeX documentations are welcome:-)
