Thank you very much for your help. Yes, I did use pdftex to make pdf. Using 
dvipdfm the numbers became visible. But I might have another problem with 
musixflx because the musical layout doesn't look as good as Christian's (see 
enclosure) even though we used the same tex-file and the same procedure. I also 
never managed to achieve a linebreak with musixflx (Yes musixflx is installed 
:-)). Does anybody know a solution to this problem? Many thanks!
