Do you mean the vertical bar lines ? or rather the (usually 5)
horizontal note lines? As I (as probably most of us) don't have easy
access to the literature you cite, I am left in the dark.
In any case, M-Tx seems to be an overkill for your problem, as you
don't seem to be dealing with any (song) words at all. In fact,
from what I can see, you probably will need to use MusixTeX or at
least inline TeX with PMX.
