Hello Everyone,

I would like to agree with Christian that changing transpositions
mid-score would be useful. I have almost finished typesetting the
Nonetto Op. 107 by Bertini; he switches between trumpets in F and D. It
would be nice to be able to have the score indicate what was originally
written, generate the parts which Bertini wrote (in case a player
happens to have the original trumpets), automatically generate a part
for a trumpet in Bb, and on top of that to have a midi file for aural
proofreading.

In Lilypond you may configure staff-wise transposing in the header
section. You may also change transposition mid-score, for example
between clarinets in Bb and A, see

ches#index-transposing-instrument-1
