Real progress on the puzzle!

In my MiKTeX 2.6 setup, curly.tex contains the line

\advance\b@zii-\Interligne

and the result is bad.

In my MiKTeX 2.9 setup on another PC (with musixtex 1.15 installed from the
new musixtex.zip), that line is missing, and the result is good.

The problem line is present in the copy of curly.tex linked directly from
the software page, but not in the copy inside musixtex.zip.

I suppose as software page editor I'm responsible for this, but I have no
idea how this happened. Does ANYONE else have any recollection of how this
discrepancy could have arisen???

Evidently, the version without "\advance\b@zii-\Interligne" is the correct
one, and again, that is currently available inside
http://www.icking-music-archive.org/software/musixtex/musixtex.zip

I'll wait a few days for comments and then if nothing else comes up, replace
or remove the directly linked copy.
