For MiKTeX, it's unnecessary anyway - the line is already there in the built-in 
file (see file miktex\config\updmap.cfg in your MiKTeX directory). Once you've 
added musix.map somewhere, you just need to run initexmf --mkmaps (as stated) - 
no need to edit anything else.
