I tried copying and pasting what you put and it suddenly worked!
So I realised that I'd gone about 3 characters over the 128 character
line limit. Thanks anyway!

(I know I ought to be using Postscript slurs, but I'm also messing around
with XeTeX & fancy fonts, so I'll see.)
