So did I, finally, after various failed attempts to "run the update wizard"
("the update wizard cannot be found"), then one seemingly successful one
that didn't install pmx2pdf.exe, and finally one that did, actually making
it possible to do a one-command compilation of a pmx source. Part of the
problem may have been that I had done the original install for all users (I
have admin privileges) but then (I think) ran the first update not as admin.
