OK, I think I see what you want. I would not call it "attaching" a file, but "linking". So I'm trying to figure out a way to include a link in the final PDF of a PMX file. The link would point to the midi file. I haven't so far succeeded, but if I could, then I could add options to PMX to make it do put the appropriate commands into the TeX file.
Most available info about how to embed links in TeX files assumes you are using LaTeX, but PMX doesn't use LaTeX. The resulting file has the word "Link" where expected, but it doesn't link to anything.
