Don: The Adobe Reader isn't the only PDF viewer. I recommend
SumatraPDF, which is a lightweight but respectable free PDF
viewer. It'll allow an open file to be overwritten and re-load
automatically.

P.S. "there is no pmx2ps" but I could add a "stop at Postscript"
option to the pmx2pdf, m-tx and musixtex scripts if this would be
useful.
