Out of curiosity about the effect of your line thickness adjustments, I cancelled all of them out and recompiled. I do see that you thickened the barlines and staff lines. But I also noticed that the bracket changed: without the adjustments, the vertical part got thicker (!?) and it also did not extend as high, now ending the same distance above the top line of the top vocal staff as it extends below the bottom line of the bottom staff. So maybe your problem with the bracket is somehow related to your adjustments of line thicknesses.
