The two commands in mtx.tex used for this purpose are:
\def\mtxInterInstrument#1#2{\setinterinstrument{#1}{#2\Interligne}}
\def\mtxStaffBottom#1{\staffbotmarg #1\Interligne}
Just play around with them until you are happy with the result.
