I find that very often composers use little rhythmic figures over
and over and over, varying only the pitch of the notes.

For example, right now I am coding a piece for SATB in which the
bottom three voices just go like this for bars at a time:

r8 c8 c.c c8 r8 r4

It would be nice to define the above as MR1, and just use MPa1
etc later.

This exact example,  of course, I can (and actually do) solve with
current MR1 to MR7 for a to g. But occasionally the four notes are
not all the same.

The proposal is:

   Between MP and the digit, any string consisting of the letters
   a,b,c,d,e,f,g indicates that those pitch letters, used cyclically,
   replace the pitch letters of the notes in the original macro.

Possible refinement: not merely the pitch letter but also octave
shifts could be specified. They come in addtion to, not replacing,
octave shifts in the original macro.
