If one applies t1lint to the type 1 musixtex fonts, many
error messages are generated. For example,

musix11.pfb: warning: some BlueValues entries are not integers
musix11.pfb: BlueValues zone 0 too large in relation to BlueScale (size 13.666,
max 2.76692 [0.361412])
musix11.pfb: BlueValues zone 1 too large in relation to BlueScale (size 3, max
2.76692 [0.361412])
musix11.pfb: BlueValues zone 2 too large in relation to BlueScale (size 22.135,
max 2.76692 [0.361412])
musix11.pfb: warning: some OtherBlues entries are not integers
musix11.pfb: OtherBlues zone 0 too large in relation to BlueScale (size 13.637,
max 2.76692 [0.361412])

According to Eddie Kohler, the author of t1lint, they
indicate there are bugs in the hinting information.

It is certainly noticeable that the type 1 musixtex fonts
don't display well on the screen.

According to the README for the musixtex-fonts package, the
hinting was done using Fontographer, a commercial program.

Does anyone on this list have the expertise to address this
issue?
