It does more than modify the font...it seems to be seeing the note symbol from \metron as a note that uses up one of the syllables of the lyrics line. This is not a PMX problem. We need to figure out a way to keep the lyrics machinery from seeing the \metron note that way. I glanced at the TeX in musixlyr but I'm afraid it's beyond my pay grade. I'm surprised this hasn't come up before. Dirk?
