This script, "very substantially expanded" by Dirk and I, has reached rc4 and I believe it is ready for production use. It should be usable as a "drop-in replacement" for the musixtex script currently in distributions, but can also replace the m-tx and pmx2pdf scripts. The new -q (quiet) option reduces screen output to a minimum.
