Definitely a PMX issue, which arises when a vertical shift is used in a
smaller-size staff. In the pasted example (which some of you may not be able to
see if you don’t allow graphics in emails) the rests in the 3rd bar are done
with straight PMX, which uses a macro \liftpausc defined in pmx.tex. The ones
in the 2rd bar are the result of replacing \liftpausc by \liftpause from
musixtex.tex. Clearly the PMX ones are centered better but the height of the
one in the smaller staff is wrong, while in the MusiXTeX version in bar 2 the
heights are right but the centering is wrong. This will take some work to
straighten out. It looks like the PMX one is shifted down by 2 of the larger
staff’s \internote’s. TeX code is attached.
