The answer is "no". I wrote my own batch script. And I did include a "del *.mx1"

As an aside, I don't have gsview on this computer but I do have Acrobat 
distiller and Acrobat and in fact it is set up so that double clicking on a .ps 
or just opening it from inside acrodist causes acrodist to create a pdf. So I 
put that in as the last step in the batch file, but acrodist refuses to exit 
gracefully when run from a command prompt, so there are several extra clicks 
and keystrokes required.
