The "automatic" spacing is determined by the beaming (\ibb...),
and can't be affected by subsequent accidentals.

small accidentals
\mulooseness
\multnoteskip
when necessary, non-automatic notes commands or \vnotes...
when necessary, adding skips, in particular, "global" skips
for multi-instrument pieces; see the attached
